Kimpton announces new D.C. hotel: Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants will open Mason & Rook Hotel in Washington, D.C., replacing the brand's curent Hotel Helix, which will close on October 16 for the remodel and rebranding. The 178-room property is scheduled to re-open in spring 2016.
